topiramate (topamax) was very helpful in stopping my migraines almost completely for over 10 years but I was taken off of it because of side effect and am now coping with constant migraines again.. right now we are trying propanolol.. its too early to know if its going to work. I'm glad that studies are looking for other solutions specifically targeting migraines....
